WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC
Results may be initially accompanied by mild, temporary redness, tenderness, or bruising. These symptoms typically fade within one to two weeks. Once your results have settled in (usually within two weeks), the effects of Volbella will last for a long time—usually 12 to 18 months

JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC Pre-Treatment:
- Ensure face is clean of makeup and lotions prior to treatment.
- Stop nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) such as Advil, Aleve, Excedrin, Motrin, and aspirin 1-2 weeks prior to your scheduled treatment.
- Stop fish oil, ginseng, vitamin A, and vitamin E 1-2 weeks prior to your scheduled treatment.
- Arnica supplements have been shown to reduce discomfort, bruising, and swelling and may be taken prior to your scheduled treatment.
- Topical numbing cream may be requested for added comfort.
- If you have a history of cold sores, an antiviral medication may be prescribed prior to treatment.
- Bruising and swelling are possible; therefore, we recommend that you schedule any social plans accordingly. 7-10 days is recommended following your injection.
JUVÉDERM VOLBELLA® XC Post-Treatment:
- Avoid drinking alcohol.
- Avoid partaking in strenuous exercise.
- Do NOT manipulate the treated area for 24hrs after treatment.
- Do NOT perform activities that involve straining, heavy lifting, and vigorous exercise for 24 hrs. after treatment.
- Redness and tenderness at the injection site is expected and will subside over time.
- Take Arnica to help with bruising or swelling.
