There are two different types of microdermabrasion treatment.
The first uses an abrasive surface to sand off your outer layer of skin. That may sound uncomfortable, but there’s very little pain.

The second microdermabrasion treatment uses a fine spray with aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate with suction to remove the top layer of skin.

Both options are safe and effective for all skin types. They are both more gentle than dermabrasion, which is a more invasive treatment that is not good for sensitive skin.
Microdermabrasion is a great treatment option for these skin issues:

Depending on your skin and the results you’re looking for, you’ll likely need more than one treatment. However, you will start seeing results from microdermabrasion immediately.

7. Microneedling
