PiQo4 takes an innovative approach to treating pigment by using the power of long and short pulses. The best way to describe this is to think about pigment as large rocks. PiQo4 first breaks down the rocks into pebbles (with long pulses) and then further breaks down the pebbles into sand (with short pulses). PiQo4 is essentially shattering the pigment, delivering amazing results, and helping restore patients’ confidence again.

Getting PiQo4 Treatment
For patients that are interested in getting PiQo4 treatment, we always recommend that you get a consultation first. WAVE offers a wide variety of both surgical and non-surgical treatments and we want to make sure you get the treatment this right for you.
If PiQo4 is the right option, we’ll have you schedule an appointment to get expert care from our staff. We’ll make sure you are comfortable and start by cleaning your skin and then applying some ice to get the skin prepared for treatment. After that, it is 3-4 passes with the PiQo4 to help patients get optimal results.
Getting the Best Results
While each person is a little bit different, most patients typically see the best results after 3-6 treatments.
Furthermore, patients experience the best results when they take care of their skin before and after treatment. We recommend that patients use medical-grade skincare prior to treatment that contains hydroquinone, retinol, or Retin-A. This treatment should stop 48-72 hours before the treatment which will ensure that the skin can recover properly. After treatment, patients should use sunblock to protect their skin and their results.
